THE MISTRESSES

STEPHANIE BAST (Ching). Stephanie was last seen with Antonio Banderas in the Broadway revival of Nine (Claudia/ understudy). Other Broadway: The Scarlet Pimpernel, King David, Miss Saigon and A Christmas Carol with Ben Vereen. When she wasn’t a broom, she understudied and played the role of Belle in the National Tour of Beauty and the Beast. Keeping with the animal theme, she most recently played the title role in Sylvia, found her inner rock-chick in Gorilla Man by Kyle Jarrow at PS122 and was Associate Producer beside her loving husband, David Grillo, who produced Beast on the Moon at the Century Center this summer. Favorite workshops include The Miracle Brothers by Kirsten Childs and directed by Tina Landau, as well as the 60’s Mod Musical, Shout! Stephanie thanks the artists who make The Mistress Cycle possible for they remind her why she loves the theatre.


LISA BRESCIA (Anais Nin) played the role of Amneris in Aida on Broadway in 2004 until its closing, and had the privilege of touring in the role prior to that. Also on Broadway she was seen in Jesus Christ Superstar. Regional credits include Eva Peron in Evita at the Gateway Playhouse, Cathy in The Last Five Years at the Skylight Opera Theatre, Petra in A Little Night Music and Meg in Brigadoon at the Goodspeed Opera House and Jenny in Actor, Lawyer, Indian Chief at Goodspeed's Norma Terris Theatre. For five years, she toured worldwide as a "Mama" with The Mamas and The Papas with original members John Phillips and Denny Doherty. TV credits include Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Lisa graduated with honors from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC and was a member of the AADA Repertory Company. Lisa lives in New Jersey with her partner, songwriter Craig Carnelia.
